Fishing ports, landing docks, fish fairs and boat shelters

Description: 

The application of Measure 1.8 “Fishing ports, landing docks, fish fairs and boat shelters” will contribute to attaining the specific objective “Improving the competitiveness and viability of enterprises in the fisheries sector, including the small-scale coastal fleet, and improving safety and working conditions”. In view of the importance of fishing ports, landing docks and boat shelters, the Maritime and Fisheries Programme 2014-2020 should support the relevant investments aimed, in particular at: increasing energy efficiency; protection of environment and the quality of the unloaded products; and improving the safety and the working conditions.

Eligible Applicants: 
  • Legal persons or sole traders, registered under the Commercial Act or the Cooperations Act
  • Municipalities or public authorities.
Project Length: 

The maximum duration of a project under sector “Investments in existing fishing ports” is up to 24 months as from the date of signing the grant contract.

The maximum duration of a project under sector “Investments aimed at the construction and / or modernization of covered boat shelters” is up to 18 months as from the date of signing the grant contract.

There is not a requirement for minimum project duration.

The deadline for submitting applications is 30.09.2017, 17.00 o’clock local time.

Further Financing Information: 

1. Sector “Investments in existing fishing ports”:

The minimum amount of the eligible grant is 800 000 BGN / 409 033.50 EUR.

The maximum amount of the eligible grant is 8 000 000 BGN / 4 090 335.00 EUR.

2. Sector “Investments aimed at the construction and / or modernization of covered boat shelters”:

The minimum amount of the eligible grant is 80 000 BGN / 40 903.35 EUR.

The maximum amount of the eligible grant is 800 000 BGN / 409 033.50 EUR.

Maximum co-funding percentage:

- Up to 100% for public authorities;

- Up to 50% for legal persons or sole traders, registered under the Commercial Act or the Cooperations Act. The funding intensity for operations, performed by entities, which fall outside the definition of SMEs is reduced by 20 percentage points.

The European Maritime and Fisheries Fund provides 75% of the funding, and the remaining 25% are from the State Budget.
